'A quick and simple recipe to make delicious Kale Chane ki Sabzi in Hindi KALE CHANE KI SABZI Ingredients 1cup Tata Sampann Kala Chana, soaked overnight and drained Salt to taste 1 large tomato, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 1 inch ginger, roughly chopped 8-10 garlic cloves 1-2 green chillies, chopped 2 tbsps oil 1 tsp cumin seeds ¼ tsp asafoetida 2 bay leaves 1-2 green cardamoms 4-5 cloves ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tbsp coriander powder 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) Method 1. Take Tata Sampann Kala Chana in a bowl, add sufficient water and soak overnight. 2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked chana, salt and sufficient water. Cook for 4 whistles. 3. Meanwhile, in a blender jar, add tomato, onion, ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Add little water and blend to a fine paste. 4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, bay leaves, green cardamoms, cloves and sauté for a few seconds. 5. Add the prepared paste, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. 6. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes or till the oil separates, stirring occasionally. 7. Add the cooked chanaand mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. 8. Crush dried fenugreek leaves and add to the pan. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. 9. Garnish with coriander sprig. Serve hot with rotis, lemon wedges and onion rings.
